Scratchboard Workshop at Rocklin Fine Arts<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Thursday, February 20th, 12:30 – 4 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sometimes called a\u0000\u001cthe art of taking awaya\u0000\u001d, scratchboard
\nis a medium that allows for amazing detail, but is also surprisingly forgiving.
\nIn this introductory workshop, youa\u0000\u0019ll learn the basic techniques for working
\non scratchboard. Knives will be used in class, but any abrasive object can be
\nused to remove the black ink from a board to reveal the white coating beneath.
\nInk can be added and re-scratched, allowing for softness and a range of tones
\nto enhance the detail. Open to all levels. Ann will provide reference photos<\/strong><\/em>
\n and all materials.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Ann is a Signature member (SSA) of the International Society of Scratchboard Artists <\/a>(ISSA).
