SUMMARY:Scratchboard Demo at Highlands Artist Guild
DESCRIPTION:Ann will give a scratchboard demo at Highlands Artist Guild‘s monthly meeting.\nFree to the public. \nSometimes called athe art of taking awaya\, scratchboard is a medium that allows for amazing detail\, but is also surprisingly forgiving and versatile. Ann will demonstrate her technique for working on scratchboard. She primarily uses an X-Acto knife\, but any abrasive object can be used to remove the black ink from the board to reveal the white coating beneath. Ink can be added and re-scratched\, allowing for softness and a range of tones to enhance the detail. Color can also be added to the scratched areas of the board.
