Scratchboard Workshop – RFA

Scratchboard Workshop at Rocklin Fine Arts

Thursday, February 20th, 12:30 – 4 pm

Sometimes called athe art of taking awaya, scratchboard
is a medium that allows for amazing detail, but is also surprisingly forgiving.
In this introductory workshop, youall learn the basic techniques for working
on scratchboard. Knives will be used in class, but any abrasive object can be
used to remove the black ink from a board to reveal the white coating beneath.
Ink can be added and re-scratched, allowing for softness and a range of tones
to enhance the detail. Open to all levels. Ann will provide reference photos
and all materials.

$65 per person, must pre-pay (to Ann)
Class size is limited to 10 students
Held at IQ Gallery in Rocklin CA.
