It's a short newsletter this issue . . . one announcement
and information about two upcoming workshops at my studio in Newcastle,

Scratchboard in Vancouver, BC
Art
Exhibit & Workshops
I'm
honored to have three works accepted into the Second Annual Juried Exhibition of the International Society of Scratchboard Artists (ISSA). The
opening reception of the exhibit is June 7th and the show runs
through June 23rd. I shipped my drawings last week and they're
now at the Federation of Canadian Artists Gallery on Granville
Island in Vancouver, British Columbia.
If you're going to be
anywhere near Vancouver in June, you must check
out this exhibition. To see an entire show of scratchboard
works is a treat not to be missed. The detail of scratchboard
drawings has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated!

I
created "Sleeping Patterns" for the ISSA exhibition. Visit my blog to
see larger images and find out more about the drawing process
for this piece.

"Kili
Man Jaro" and "Baby Face" were also accepted. Click either
image to find out more. |
There will also be workshops on June 8th & 9th.
A number of ISSA members (including myself) will be giving demos of various
scratchboard techniques. I'm proud to say I was awarded Signature
status (SSA) in the Society
last year and thrilled to be able to present a demo and be part
of this wonderful group of highly skilled and talented artists!
